TOURING CARS & MINIS

New Series starts 5th Sept 2008

Both series will be 2 rounds and a final basis

Best 10 from 14 to qualify

Control Foam only, available from Race control at £15.00 a set of 4.

As technology advances the club needs to make sure it remains competitive with the needs of the racer.

Brushless motors have been available for some time now, and the BRCA run many meeting with these motors as 1st choice.

It is the clubs intention for the new series that starts next week to allow brushless motors in the Touring car class. This will be 13.5 motors only.

We are NOT suggesting that you have to go out and buy new gear, we will continue to run brushed motors in the same class.

The initial outlay is quite high, but in the long run it works out cheaper as the motor last much longer and need little or no maintenance.

The club also realises that the carpet is getting a little tired.
Over the next couple of months when our funds have fully recovered from supplying the P T's we will arrange for new carpet.

Please note that AORRC only run Personal Transponders.

We will have a couple of PT's to hire out to visitors, however any new members would be expected to buy one.

Track laying & putting away

It has been brought to my attention yet again that a number of people feel they do not need to contribute to the above.

I would like to say to everyone that if you race you need to help.

As a reminder you need to arrive by 18:45 and should not leave until all the equipment is away and the hall floor has been swept.

MINI's

.If drivers are running a Touring car on the same night, the cost of entry for the minis is just £2 for Adult and £1 for Juniors.

This is an extremely cheap entry class to RC racing £159.99 for everything -car ,transmitter, 4 x batteries, charger, paint, etc, etc,everything!!!!! come and see and give it a go.
